Hi everyone. I’m Julie. I’m an Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Yoga Teacher, and Founder of Jiva Reiki School where I teach people tools to help them live happier, healthier lives. Today we are going to do doing Reiki-Infused Yoga. We will be doing a short yoga sequence infused with Reiki. You can do this yoga sequence at any point in the day. Other great times to do this Reiki-infused Yoga is when you really want to be present, or when you are going through an emotional crisis, when you need clarity, when you want to ground yourself, or just simple when you want to relax.
Yoga and Reiki complement each other very well. Yoga is the stilling of the mind. We practice yoga asanas or postures so we can sit in meditation to still our minds. Because when our mind is stilled then, we can experience our true nature. But how can you still your mind if you have so many racing thoughts? Or if you have pain in your body? Or if you are feeling anger, upset, or sad? Both yoga-asanas and Reiki are wonderful tools to help tune into our bodies and transform all that no longer serves us. So, this short yoga sequence may not be like other yoga classes you have been to before. It isn’t about about doing the “perfect pose” or doing a handstand that is not true yoga. It’s about preparing ourselves to be able to experience eternal bliss. As we go through this short yoga sequence please do not judge your yoga poses by how they look or how you think they should look but rather by how deeply you can breathe in each pose. You want to be able to take deep, long, slow breaths in every asana we are in.
