We all struggle with stress. I spent the last nine years of my life trying to figure out how to handle and manage my stress. Do you wonder how it is that some people are able to cope with stress despite a worse situation and circumstance while others can’t? How do people come out centered and happy with so many stress factors around them?
This is something I had to figure out. My challenge became how do I stay relaxed and centered during stress so that I can think clearly and make the best decisions for myself? My answer is daily Reiki.
Reiki is a form of energy healing that is deeply relaxing and promotes the healing of the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki works on the basis that everything in the world is made up of energy or ki. Reiki increase your life energy or ki so that you are more susceptible to health, happiness, and joy. This is important because when your life energy is low, you are more susceptible to disease, depression, and sadness.
The everyday ups and downs of life affect your energy field. When you feel an emotion that is uncomfortable like anger, sadness, or frustration that is an indicator that your life energy is low and you are in need of recharging your energy. Your feelings are your guidance system on the level of ki, or life energy in your body. When you feel happy, joyful, or peaceful that means that your life energy is high. When you feel sad, angry, or frustrated that means that you life energy is low. During times, when your life energy is low, you need a way to increase your life energy to be able to stay relaxed and center no matter what stress factors are pressing in. Here are 6 benefits of getting Reiki:
Promotes body’s ability to heal
Enhances pathway to happiness
Balances your energy
Heals problems at their root
Consider getting a weekly Reiki session or becoming a Reiki practitioner to be able to increase your life energy and become a magnet for health, happiness, and joy!

Hi, I’m Julie. I’m an Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher and Founder of Jiva Reiki School where I teach people how to live happier, healthier lives. Today we are going to be doing a meditation for understanding the power of our thoughts. In Reiki, we learn that everything in the Universe is made up of energy-from the thoughts we think to the feelings we feel. And, sometimes, we don’t realize the power of our thoughts: not just our conscious thoughts but also our unconscious thoughts and our programming that was created during childhood.
So, sit up nice and tall. Close your eyes. Just begin to focus on your breath-on the inhale and the exhale. Then start to bring into your mind, something that you love, be it a person, a place, or a thing. Let it be just something that you really really love and fully bring it into your mind’s eye. Feel it. Sense it. Know it. Imagine it. And, then notice your breath. Notice the muscles in your body. And, then bring your energy, your attention, and your awareness back on your breath. Completely let go of the thing that you love. And, just focus again, on your inhale and your exhale. Maybe even mentally repeat, “I release, the thing that I love and I bring my full energy and attention to my breath”. Now think of something that you dislike, or hate, or that makes you really angry. Bring that to your full attention in your mind’s eye. Feel it. Sense it. Know it. Imagine it. Dive 100% into that person, place, thing, or situation. And, then notice your breath. Notice your body. Notice your muscles. Then bring your energy, your attention, and your awareness back to your breath again. Then mentally repeat, “I release this thing that I hate and I bring my full attention to my breath.” Then slowly, begin to flicker your eyes open.
Could you feel the difference between your body’s response to when you focused on something you loved versus when you focused on something you hated? For me, when I am focusing on something that I love, or something that makes me feel good, I can easily take deep, long, slow conscious breaths and fill my body up with life energy. My body feels relaxed. And when I think about something I hate, my breaths become shallow. And, I feel it right here in my chest. And, my mind gets tight and I get obsessive thoughts. My body just tightens up. And, so in this little meditation, what I realize is that, my thoughts are so powerful. My thoughts are so powerful. Our power is always in the present moment, to choose how we are going to react to something, to choose to be conscious creators in our lives by choosing to think the thoughts that make us feel good. It isn’t all about just thinking thoughts that make us feel good. We can’t go from where we are to always wanting to feel good to feeling good by just thinking positive thoughts. There are steps in between like acknowledging those unprocessed feelings, giving ourselves spaces to process them, heal them, and nurture ourselves. That takes time and it is a process.
Thank you so much for joining me for this understanding the power of our thoughts, mini meditation. I’m sending you guys all of my Reiki love this week.
It’s 2009. I’m 14 years old. My step dad just died. My biological father had left me for another family. And it doesn’t matter that my mom obsessed with working or that I’m to scared to tell my friends what is going on. What matters is that I found hope again. Hope that this intense pain I was feeling wouldn’t last forever. What matters is that I choose to surrender to a power far greater than me to guide me back home.
I am 14 years old and I’m at the beginning of my spiritual journey. I spent the first 4 years of my spiritual journey, creating the basis for my Reiki practice. I secretly meet with my spiritual teachers. Secretly watched movies like The Secret and secretly read books like Angels by Doreen Virtue or I Can Heal My Life by Louise Hay. I secretly went to talks by both of those authors. I made vision boards. Said positive affirmations. Learned to meditate. And my life got better. I was starting the shed this layers that no longer served me and take control on my life. It wasn’t easy and it still isn’t easy. But I had hope. Hope that I could create the life I wanted. Hope that I could change. Hope I could heal. Hope that one day I would be truly happy. Even though, I was an in the closest spiritual seeker, I still had hope.
It’s now my sophomore year in college and I just got attuned to Reiki I and Reiki II. I had surrendered to the Reiki energy far before I was ever attuned. Since, that moment of surrender, the energy was working with me to divinely guide me. That hope that I had felt in my lowest moment, continued and continues to guide me to this day. That energy of Hope is my connect to the Reiki energy.
Reiki isn’t just a thing I call on to give a Reiki session to relax or de-stress it is something far more than that.
Reiki is Spiritually Guided Life Energy. Reiki has this Divine Wisdom that knows what is best for your best and highest good. Reiki always meets you where you are at. I am not here to tell what or how your connection with Reiki will be like because I don’t know. My hope is to empower you to surrender to the Reiki energy and develop your own unique connection with Reiki. Reiki never harms and Reiki is not a religion but rather a spiritual practice. I am honored to be able to help you to facilitate your connection with Reiki.
Hi everyone. I’m Julie. I’m an Usui Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher and Founder of Jiva Reiki School where I teach people how to live happier, healthier lives. Today we are going to be doing an introduction to Reiki for codependency. Codependency is a huge topic and I will be doing a series of videos focusing on this topic. Today we will just go over a brief introduction about codependency. So, you’re probably wondering, if you don’t know already, “what is codependency?”
A definition I really like from the Book Codependent No More states that codependency is a behavior condition that developed as a result of an individual's prolonged exposure to and practice of a set of oppressive rules- which prevent the open expression of feelings as well a direct discussion of personal and interpersonal feelings. Now it still may not seem very clear to you what codependency still is. So, I am going to asking you a few questions where you can answer yes or no.
Do you think or feel responsible for people’s feelings?
Do you feel anxiety, guilt, and pain when others have a problem?
Do you anticipate others needs and wonder why others don’t do the same for you?
Do you say yes when you mean no?
Do you feel sad you give so much and other don’t give to you?
Do you feel awkward when others do give to you?
Do you not know what you want or need or if you do know do you put it as not as important as others?
If you said yes, to any of theses questions you MIGHT be a codependent.
Don’t worry this isn’t your fault and you have the power to change this.
I’m a recovering codependent. I was raised in a household where I couldn’t express my feelings, wants or needs. If I did express my feelings, wants, or needs they got brushed aside and completely ignored. So, after a while I learned not to even recognize my feelings, opinions, needs, and wants. I learned to move through life by responding to other people’s needs and wants instead. I had an underlying deep feeling of worthlessness and a belief that I wasn’t enough. My Reiki journey was the beginning of my recovery. However, at the time, I didn’t know the name of the mental illness I was suffering from. From the outside looking in, everything seemed fine. I was a successful yoga and Reiki teacher but no one knew the real internal dialogue going on in my head. I actually felt kind of crazy because I had even gone to see therapist and two told me I was completely fine. I wasn’t until I read Copendency No More recommended by my Vedic Psychologist that put a name to an internal condition I had been feeling for so long and finally found relief. This first step in recovery of codependency is awareness. That is what we will be focusing on our mini Reiki Meditation today.
Before we start, I just want to say one more thing. There is a spectrum of codependency. It isn’t black and white. I asked you five of the hundred of symptoms of codependency. Everybody will do or haves theses symptoms at different and varying intensities. So, let’s begin.
Sitting up nice and tall.
Mentally repeat after me as I beam you Reiki.
“Reiki thank you for giving me the courage and confidence to become aware of my codependency tendencies.”
“Reiki thank you for guiding me to notice whenever I go into autopilot and exert a codependency behavior.”
“Reiki thank you for helping me release any guilt, shame, or embarrassment I may have about being a codependent.
